Zeytintaşı Cave
An underground palace meticulously crafted by nature over millions of years, featuring crystalline stalactites and delicate formations.
Located in Antalya’s Serik district, very close to Belek, Zeytintaşı Cave is a true natural marvel, accidentally discovered in 1997 during quarrying activities. Estimated to have formed over approximately 14 million years, the cave’s most captivating feature is its extremely delicate, crystalline formations known as “pasta stalactites.” Some of these stalactites reach up to 70 centimeters in length, and their ongoing growth makes Zeytintaşı a living ecosystem. The cave’s year-round stable temperature and maintained humidity are crucial for the survival of these fragile crystals. BETUYAB supports all meticulous conservation efforts aimed at protecting this unique geological heritage, ensuring it remains intact while being opened to tourism, and preserving it as a natural monument for future generations. Knowing that every drop of water inside the cave is part of a process spanning millions of years gives visitors a sense of traveling beyond time. Walking among the sparkling marble pools and stalactites under the cave’s lighting, witnessing this hidden elegance deep within nature, is an invaluable experience.
