Köprülü Canyon National Park

In the heart of the Taurus Mountains, a majestic canyon tale where turquoise waters carve through massive rocks and history embraces nature.

gobelek-koprulu-kanyon-banner.jpg

Located in the depths of the Taurus Mountains rising in the northeast of Antalya, Köprülü Canyon National Park is one of Turkey’s longest and most impressive natural canyons. This massive rift, shaped by the Köprüçay River eroding limestone rocks over thousands of years, stretches for approximately 14 kilometers and offers visitors breathtaking landscapes. The ancient Oluk Bridge, which has become the symbol of the national park and gives the canyon its name, is a stone structure that has survived intact from the Roman period to the present day and is a true engineering marvel. The river’s crystal-clear, ice-cold waters create a unique oasis not only for professional rafting enthusiasts but also for those seeking tranquility and wishing to listen to the silence of nature. The region is an ecologically invaluable treasure with its rare pure cypress forests and rich wildlife, which are scarcely found anywhere else in the world. BETUYAB is a committed supporter of all projects aimed at preserving the biodiversity of this magnificent national park, cleaning the river ecosystem from pollution, and developing sustainable nature tourism in accordance with regional standards. While walking among the ruins of the ancient city of Selge rising on the steep slopes of the canyon, or witnessing the turbulent flow of the river, you will deeply feel this timeless power created by nature and history working hand in hand. Köprülü Canyon is one of the wildest and most beautiful faces of the earth, proving that the Mediterranean is not only about its beaches.
