Red Kestrel
The proud ruler of the sky, a noble hunter gliding through the skies of Belek with his broad wings and piercing gaze.
Soaring high above Belek under the deep blue sky, the Red Kite (*Buteo buteo*), circling gracefully on thermal air currents, is one of the region’s most magnificent representatives of raptors. Named for the characteristic reddish-brown tones of its tail, this noble bird can spot the smallest movement on the ground from hundreds of meters above thanks to its sharp eyesight. Belek’s open fields and forested areas provide the perfect hunting and nesting grounds for the Red Kite.
Playing a critical role in maintaining natural balance, these predators regulate small rodent populations, helping nature maintain its own internal order. BETUYAB continuously supports scientific research and conservation projects aimed at minimizing threats to the habitats of these majestic sky dwellers and preserving the region’s biological heritage. Encountering a Red Kite gliding effortlessly along forest edges or over wide plains gives a profound sense of nature’s power and the purest form of freedom.
This natural wealth that Belek offers is strong evidence that life continues uninterrupted—from the highest points in the sky to the deepest reeds on the ground. Looking up, it is impossible not to be captivated by the wild magic beneath these proud wings.
